Why our hearts is not changing? by Srila B.B.Tirtha Goswami

Sree Sree Guru Gaurangau Jayatah!
Devotee: Sometimes you can chant many lifetimes – chanting Hare Krishna, worshipping, and taking prasadam – Still, the heart is not changing. How does one change the heart?
Srila Guru Maharaj: For this, one has to have company of suddha-bhaktas because we have got difficulty inwardly – we are uttering the name Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna – but we have got this conception of self, "I am this body" and bodily interests predominate our heart. We are chanting the name and thinking, "I am having difficulty, I require another 50,000 dollars, please rescue me, Hare Krishna". He will see in your heart – according to your hearts desire, He will see. You are not wanting Krishna from your heart. You are trying to remove your problems. If sincerely anybody wants Krishna, immediately he will get. But because we can’t sincerely utter – we are habituated here, "I do not want to leave this Honolulu," we say. Where we will be taken? We do not know. And if Krishna comes and says "Go with Me. I”ll take you to Vrindavana, it is a hot place, but it is a very good place." Even then, you think you will leave this place, and there will be great difficulty there. “I shall have to beg alms,” you may say. You won’t be able to go with Krishna in Vrindavan. You are uttering the name of Krishna and when Krishna comes, he says "I have come-now, come along!"
But you say "no, no – I have got this nice hog family and responsibilities. Many obligations – many. I have got wife, children, etc. Who are you? I don’t agree with you. I won’t leave! I won’t leave! I won’t leave this Honolulu."
– His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj

The glories of Srila B.V.Vaman Goswami Maharaj by Srila Gurudev B.V.Narayan Goswami

On November 15, the same day that Srila Trivikrama Maharaja left the world two years earlier, Srila Bhaktivedanta Vamana Gosvami Maharaja left at midnight, during Sri Krsna’s nisa-lila (midnight pastime s). About 1,000 devotees from all over the world are here at Govardhana performing parikrama, but I left all my responsibilities here and went to Navadvipa. I did what needed to be done there and now I’ve returned. I know the devotees here observed Srila Vamana Maharaja’s disappearance ceremony, weeping, but now we are going to observe it again. Now, devotees should glorify him. [Srila B.V.Narayan Goswami Maharaja then called on Srila Vamana Maharaja’s senior most disciple, Sripad Parivrajaka Maharaja, who spoke in Bengali, and then several others, to offer their heartfelt glorification. He then offered his own glorification:] Srila Gurudev B.V.Narayan Goswami: We have heard from many Vaisnavas, such as Sripad Parivrajaka Maharaja and Sripada Madhava Maharaja, and especially Sripad Bhakti-prasada Van Maharaja spoke very nicely about the principle of separation (viraha-tattva). Separation feelings are very important in the bhajana of Gaudiya Vaisnavas. When first entering the realm of bhajana there are feelings of separation, in the middle there are such feelings, and when one attains Sri Sri Radha-Krsna’s direct service, there are also such feelings. Separation is one of the aspects of prema (pure love of God). When there is separation there must also be meeting, and that is why Vaisnava literature gives it great importance. The experience of meeting is more important than the feeling of being separated. During that time of separation we can remember all the qualities of our object of love and worship, whereas this is not possible at the time of meeting. In viraha there is meeting internally – you can meet directly there. Vaisnavas never die; rather, they enter into the transcendental world and disappear from here. They are just like Krsna. His pastimes appear and then disappear. Similarly, Vaisnavas also appear and disappear. Pujyapada Srila Vamana Maharaja grew up in Vaisnava association. His mother was a disciple of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. She was very intelligent and had so much guru-nistha; she had great faith in her guru. Srila Vamana Maharaja’s uncle’s name was Bhakti Bhusana Nrsimha Maharaja. Srila Vamana Maharaja was an exalted servant of my Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti-prajnana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja, and from his childhood he served in a great variety of ways. When he was 10 ½ years old his mother offered him to my Gurudeva, and from that time on he considered Gurudeva his all-in-all – his mother, father, siksa-guru and everything else of value. He had joined the matha during the time of Srila Prabhupada Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura and took harinama initiation from him, but he always considered my Gurudeva his guru.

Anywhere in Vedas, homosex is aprooved? - by Srila A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj

Shrimad Bhagavatam 3.20.26: pahi mam paramatmams te presanenasrjam prajah ta ima yabhitum papa upakramanti mam prabho TRANSLATION By Shrila Prabhupada: "Lord Brahma, approaching the Lord, addressed Him thus: My Lord, please protect me from these sinful demons, who were created by me under Your order. They are infuriated by an appetite for sex and have come to attack me." PURPORT It appears here that the homosexual appetite of males for each other is created in this episode of the creation of the demons by Brahma. In other words, the homosexual appetite of a man for another man is demoniac and is not for any sane male in the ordinary course of life. "Foolish and sinful men engage in all forms of sexual intercourse without a female womb, forcing themselves upon other men. They are born again without their organs as neuters." (Mahabharata 13.145.52) Prabhupada: The world is degrading to the lowest status, even less than animal. The animal also do not support homosex. They have never sex life between male to male. They are less than animal. People are becoming less than animal. This is all due to godlessness. Harav abhaktasya kuto mahad-guna , godless civilization cannot have any good qualities. Harav abhaktasya kuto mahad-guna mano rathena asato dhavato. They simply go to the untruth by mental speculation. (Shrila Prabhupada in Conversation with the GBC ?Los Angeles, May 25, 1972.) Prabhupada: Homosex. They are supporting homosex. So degraded, and still they say, "What we have done?" They do not know what is degradation, and they are priest. They are teaching others. They do not know what is the meaning of degradation. (Shrila Prabhupada in Morning Walk Conversation ?Los Angeles, September 28, 1972) Prabhupada: So generally, people are suffering on account of association with tamo-guna and rajo-guna, whole material world, mostly tamo-guna and few of them in rajo-guna. The symptoms of rajo-guna and tamo-guna are lust and greediness. Just like yesterday you told me the students are talking about homosex. That means tamo-guna, that the education students, they are discussing about homosex... That means they are making their own lusty desires fulfilled in the name of Bible, that’s all. Everyone is doing like that. They are changing. Mass opinion is now homosex. They are passing abortion. They are passing? What is this? This is their business. For fulfillment of their lusty desires and greediness, they are bringing the authority of Bible, Bhagavad-gita. This is going on in the name of religion. (Shrila Prabhupada in Morning Walk ?May 11, 1975, Perth) Prabhupada: This homosex propaganda is another side of impotency. So that is natural. If you enjoy too much, then you become impotent. Brahmananda: They are trying to make that more and more accepted in America, homosex. Prabhupada: Yes. The churches accept. It is already law. Nitai: This women’s liberation movement, the leaders are also homosexual. They’re lesbians. Prabhupada: (laughs) Just see. Hare Krsna. The whole world is on the verge of ruination. Kali-yuga. (Shrila Prabhupada in Morning Walk ?September 6, 1975, Vrndavana) Tamala Krsna: Now they have churches for homosex. That means the priest is a homosexual, and the persons who come are homosexuals. A special church for homosexuals. Prabhupada: Just see. Is that religion? (Shrila Prabhupada in Room Conversation ?January 8, 1976, Nellore)

Recebendo a Graça do Vaishnava

Who is mother, who is father? by Srila A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj

SB 6.5.20 śāstrasya pitur ādeśaṁ  yo na veda nivartakam kathaṁ tad-anurūpāya  guṇa-visrambhy upakramet Word for word: śāstrasya — of the scriptures; pituḥ — of the father; ādeśam — the instruction; yaḥ — one who; na — not; veda — understands; nivartakam — which brings about the cessation of the material way of life; katham — how; tat-anurūpāya — to follow the instruction of the śāstras; guṇa-visrambhī — a person entangled in the three modes of material nature; upakramet — can engage in the creation of progeny. Translation: [Nārada Muni had asked how one could ignorantly defy one’s own father. The Haryaśvas understood the meaning of this question.] One must accept the original instructions of the śāstra. According to Vedic civilization, one is offered a sacred thread as a sign of second birth. One takes his second birth by dint of having received instructions in the śāstra from a bona fide spiritual master. Therefore, śāstra, scripture, is the real father. All the śāstras instruct that one should end his material way of life. If one does not know the purpose of the father’s orders, the śāstras, he is ignorant. The words of a material father who endeavors to engage his son in material activities are not the real instructions of the father. Purport: Bhagavad-gītā (16.7) says, pravṛttiṁ ca nivṛttiṁ ca janā na vidur āsurāḥ: demons, who are less than human beings but are not called animals, do not know the meaning of pravṛtti and nivṛtti, work to be done and work not to be done. In the material world, every living entity has a desire to lord it over the material world as much as possible. This is called pravṛtti-mārga. All the śāstras, however, advise nivṛtti-mārga, or release from the materialistic way of life. Apart from the śāstras of the Vedic civilization, which is the oldest of the world, other śāstras agree on this point. For example, in the Buddhist śāstras Lord Buddha advises that one achieve nirvāṇa by giving up the materialistic way of life. In the Bible, which is also śāstra, one will find the same advice: one should cease materialistic life and return to the kingdom of God. In any śāstra one may examine, especially the Vedic śāstra, the same advice is given: one should give up his materialistic life and return to his original, spiritual life. Śaṅkarācārya also propounds the same conclusion. Brahma satyaṁ jagan mithyā: this material world or materialistic life is simply illusion, and therefore one should stop his illusory activities and come to the platform of Brahman. The word śāstra refers to the scriptures, particularly the Vedic books of knowledge. The Vedas — Sāma, Yajur, Ṛg and Atharva — and any other books deriving knowledge from these Vedas are considered Vedic literatures. Bhagavad-gītā is the essence of all Vedic knowledge, and therefore it is the scripture whose instructions should be especially accepted. In this essence of all śāstras, Kṛṣṇa personally advises that one give up all other duties and surrender unto Him (sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja). One should be initiated into following the principles of śāstra. In offering initiation, our Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement asks one to come to the conclusion of śāstra by taking the advice of the supreme speaker of the śāstra, Kṛṣṇa, forgetting the principles of the materialistic way of life. Therefore the principles we advise are no illicit sex, no intoxication, no gambling and no meat-eating. These four types of engagement will enable an intelligent person to get free from the materialistic life and return home, back to Godhead. In regard to the instructions of the father and mother, it may be said that every living entity, including even the insignificant cats, dogs and serpents, takes birth of a father and mother. Therefore, getting a material father and mother is not a problem. In every form of life, birth after birth, the living entity gets a father and mother. In human society, however, if one is satisfied with his material father and mother and their instructions and does not make further progress by accepting a spiritual master and being educated in the śāstras, he certainly remains in darkness. The material father and mother are important only if they are interested in educating their son to become free from the clutches of death. As instructed by Ṛṣabhadeva (Bhāg. 5.5.18): pitā na sa syāj jananī na sā syāt/ na mocayed yaḥ samupeta-mṛtyum. One should not strive to become a mother or father if one cannot save one’s dependent son from the impending danger of death. A parent who does not know how to save his son has no value because such fathers and mothers may be had in any form of life, even among the cats, dogs and so on. Only a father and mother who can elevate their son to the spiritual platform are bona fide parents. Therefore according to the Vedic system it is said, janmanā jāyate śūdraḥ: one is born of a material father and mother as a śūdra. The purpose of life, however, is to become a brāhmaṇa, a first-class man. A first-class intelligent man is called a brāhmaṇa because he knows the Supreme Brahman, the Absolute Truth. According to the Vedic instructions, tad-vijñānārthaṁ sa gurum evābhigacchet: to know this science, one must approach a bona fide guru, a spiritual master who will initiate the disciple with the sacred thread so that he may understand the Vedic knowledge. Janmanā jāyate śūdraḥ saṁskārād dhi bhaved dvijaḥ. Becoming a brāhmaṇa through the endeavor of a bona fide spiritual master is called saṁskāra. After initiation, one is engaged in study of the śāstra, which teaches the student how to gain release from materialistic life and return home, back to Godhead. The Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is teaching this higher knowledge of retiring from materialistic life to return to Godhead, but unfortunately many parents are not very satisfied with this movement. Aside from the parents of our students, many businessmen are also dissatisfied because we teach our students to abandon intoxication, meat-eating, illicit sex and gambling. If the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement spreads, the so-called businessmen will have to close their slaughterhouses, breweries and cigarette factories. Therefore they are also very much afraid. However, we have no alternative than to teach our disciples to free themselves from materialistic life. We must instruct them in the opposite of material life to save them from the repetition of birth and death. Nārada Muni, therefore, advised the Haryaśvas, the sons of Prajāpati Dakṣa, that instead of begetting progeny, it would be better to leave and achieve the perfection of spiritual understanding according to the instructions of the śāstras. The importance of the śāstras is mentioned in Bhagavad-gītā (16.23): yaḥ śāstra-vidhim utsṛjya  vartate kāma-kārataḥ na sa siddhim avāpnoti  na sukhaṁ na parāṁ gatim “One who disregards the injunctions of the śāstras and acts whimsically, as he likes, never achieves the perfection of life, not to speak of happiness. Nor does he return home to the spiritual world.”

Humildade- Real e aparente- Prabhupad Saraswati Thakur

(Do livro chamado “Vaishnavismo- Real e aparente”)

O Mais nobre ideal Vaishnava

Aradhyo bhagavan vrajesh tanayas
Tad dhama vrndavana
Ramyas kascid upasana
Vraja vadhu vargena ya kalpita

Srimad bhagavatam pramanam amalam
Prema pumartho mahan
Sri caitanya mahaprabhu matan idam

Vaishnava Vijaya

Baladeva das Brahmacari

Following Guru Parampara vs personal understanding. by Srila Gurudev.

Srila Narayana Maharaja: What question do you have?

Lady devotee: We recently had a member of our family pass away. She was initiated by Srila Prabhupada. She had dedicated her whole life to serving Krishna. She had very few possessions. She was a very humble devotee. I'm wondering, when a devotee very suddenly passes away before old age, due to poor health or some circumstance, is that person going to be with Krishna? Are they taking birth immediately again in another body? Or, is there a subtle body that stays until the gross body is cremated? I'm not knowing what happens.

Srila Narayana Maharaja: Continue what you are saying.

Brajanatha Prabhu: She's asking, is the process not complete until the ashes are given to the Ganges? Or, will that soul reach her destination before or after the ashes of the gross body are offered to the Ganges or Yamuna? Or, what is the destination?

Srila Narayana Maharaja: It depends on the devotee. It depends on whether she has really taken initiation or not - in the real, true sense. It depends on whether one is chanting krsna-nama properly and purely or not. Was she realizing her position or not? Has she attained nistha (the stage of steadiness in bhakti) or not? Has she attained the last fraction of bhakti - sraddha? If one actually has sraddha, he will think, "Even if anyone will cut me in so many pieces, I cannot give up harinama. Was there even a transcendental sraddha? Was there some desire to serve Krishna in the real sense? Perhaps she died without this. She was a pious person, and doing some sukrti. Perhaps she wanted to always have good association. She was doing so much book distribution, and making money and giving it to Srila Swami Maharaja out of duty, but she never had a high class of association. Perhaps her sraddha was still weak. In that case, whether her body was burned or put in a grave, there is no harm.
She may then take birth anywhere, in an ordinary devotee's house. Do you understand? In the home of a general devotee. There she may hear from childhood that only by serving Krishna can anyone be happy. Otherwise one can never be happy. In this next birth, she is chanting from the very beginning, but not purely. There are so many worldly desires and her heart is still not pure. So many anarthas, unwanted things, are there. Yet, gradually, she will come in the association of a somewhat higher devotee. There she will understand what is sraddha. From the beginning she will have a better chance to attain nistha. In her past life she had never attained nistha. Do you know what is nistha? I know you don't know.

Lady devotee: I don't remember.

Srila Narayana Maharaja: Nistha (steadiness in bhakti). By intelligence one will determine, "I must chant, because there is no other way for success." At this stage one is not realized, but still there is a very strong determination. He will not think, "Should I marry; should I not marry? Narada never married, but the father of Sukadeva, Vyasadeva, did. What should I do?" In sastra it has been written that this world is like a well. What is that well? To marry and to be very attached to one's family. If one is attached to Krishna, will he be attached to this world? Without such attachment to Krishna, one is in dilemna about what to do: "Should I remain in my house with my father, mother, wife and children, or should I give up all these things and go to high-class association, always chanting, hearing, and developing my faith?" He's now in a dilemna. This is not nistha-bhakti.
Do you understand? Nistha will come, but it is not there yet. If one dies in this stage, what will happen? He was without nistha. Rather, he was in dilemna about what to do. In that case, in his next birth he will seek a higher class of association, and now he may have nistha. Now he has determined, "Oh, I should be in worldly life and, like the Pandavas, like the gopis, I will do bhajana." Or, he will determine, "I will be like Sukadeva Gosvami, I will not marry." He has decided; he has come to a conclusion: "And I will always serve Vaisnavas." In his second birth Bharata Maharaja decided, "I will never go to worldly desires, or anything which can cause attachment and make me give up attachment to Krishna." He has decided this.
Suppose a taste has come for chanting and remembering hari-katha. Ruci, a taste has come, and suppose that he dies in the stage of ruci. What will become of him? Now he has come in the standard of bhakti. If he dies at this stage Krishna will manage that he will go to any high class of guru. There, serving him and always hearing from him, asakti, attachment for Krishna, may come.
If he dies in the stage of asakti, what will become of him? Oh, he will surely take birth in the house of a very exalted Vaisnava. In Gita it has been told, "Sucinam srimatam gehe." From there he will practice his sadhana only for attaining bhava-bhakti. From that stage it may be that in one birth, two births, a hundred births, or a thousand births, he may attain suddha-prema, suddha-sattva, and that is rati (bhava).
If anyone dies in the stage of rati, he has nothing to do. Surely he will become like Sri Sukadeva Gosvami, Sri Narada Gosvami, Srila Rupa Gosvami, and Srila Sanatana Gosvami. From the beginning he will start his suddha-sattva bhakti, his rati or bhava. Then, if he is qualified in rati, matured in rati, what will happen? At once, when he leaves his body, Yogamaya at once manages that his soul should go to Mahaprabhu. He will go to the planet and place where the lila, pastimes, of Mahaprabhu are going on. There he will chant and remember with a high class of rati, in the association of Sri Rupa Gosvami, Sri Sanatana Gosvami, Sri Svarupa Damodara and Sri Raya Ramananda.
If he gives up his body after he has matured in this rati, Yogamaya will take him where Krishna's pastimes are going on, and he will come in the womb of any gopi -according to his taste, or in other words, according to his specific relationship with Krishna. If he is in a relationship of friendship, he will come like a brother of Sridama, Subala, Madhumangala, and others like them. If he is in the relationship of vatsalya, parental affection, then he will come like Nanda Baba and Yasoda. For perfecting any of these relationships he will have to come through the womb of any gopi. And, if he is seriously following Srila Rupa Gosvami - if he is not only raganuga, but especially rupanuga, then he will come in the womb of a special gopi. When he (she) grows up she will be married anywhere, especially in Yavat, and she will be associated with a high class of kayavuha (a gopi who is a bodily expansion) of Srimati Radhika. If that association is closed to her, then the door of her home will be closed, or locked, and she will give up her life and meet Krishna by her separation mood. And, if she is associated with nitya-siddha, gopis, then she will meet Him very quickly. If there is a trace of unwanted things, if there are any children, one cannot join rasa by that body, not even if one has come by the womb of a gopi. Never. Her husband will check her, and she will give up this body. Of course it is not that one can give up the body; there is no death there. So she gives up that mood that, "He is my child and he is my husband." At that time all obstacles will go away, and Yogamaya will then take her to rasa, and take her to serve the gopis.
There are so many laws, as in court; so many laws or rulings for different aparadhas. Suppose you take a gun and play with it, and by chance a man is shot and dies. If you can prove that you had no wish to kill him, that it happened by chance, by accident, you may be given very little punishment - not death. However, if you have a motive to kill anyone, and if you have aimed your gun at him and shot it, but the person was not shot, still you will have to go to court and be punished severely. There are so many laws, and all these laws have come from these transcendental laws. This is the shadow of that.
If anyone is chanting three lakhs of names, always reading books and serving so much, and he also has some worldly motivation, what will be the result? His whole bhakti is poisoned. He is performing those activities for himself. However, suppose anyone appears like a Queen, not doing anything, not chanting much harinama - like Srila Rupa Gosvami, and Srila Raghunatha dasa Gosvami. He is simply calling out, "O Krishna". Fainting, he cannot chant. Even in one entire day it may be that he cannot chant even 16 rounds. Even by chanting one Krishna name, he faints for the whole day and night, and he is serving Krishna internally. Tears are always coming. He is always weeping, weeping, his bodily hairs are standing on end, and all sattvika-bhavas are coming. So he cannot chant, though he wants to. What will be the result? He will become more than Haridas Thakura. Srila Rupa Gosvami and Srila Raghunatha dasa Gosvami wanted to chant but they could not. Sankya purvaka. They were calling out, "He radhe vrajadevi-ke. "O Krishna, where are you?" They went to Giriraja Govardhana and there they were weeping still more. Then they went to Nandagaon, Varsana, and here and there. They were always lamenting. When they will count their names?
Mahaprabhu was at the Ratha Yatra festival - for the whole day. What was He doing? He was calling out, "Se ta prananatha paina. My beloved, I have now met you", and He became faint. For the whole day he was doing this, here and there. Has He completed his rounds? After the festival, when He went to Gambira, He was lamenting with Sri Raya Ramananda, "Where is my Krishna?" "Oh, Krishna is in your heart". Then He became very happy. He wanted to see Krishna. He was lamenting like this until morning. When will He complete His chanting? This is also true for Sri Svarupa Damodara, who was always pacifying Mahaprabhu. When will He have time to chant? Actually, this is more than chanting. Oh, this is the fruit of chanting. Do you understand somewhat? I have told this in so much detail, so it may be that you cannot understand.

Lady devotee: In my understanding, depending on the person's level of faith.

Srila Narayana Maharaja: Oh, don't try to take your understanding. Always try to understand the understandings of our guru-parampara. Otherwise you cannot understand. Your intelligence always fails. Always fails. Try to forget your understanding and try to accept the understanding of our guru-parampara. Especially Sri Rupa and Sri Raghunatha, and more recently, in the very simple words of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura. His words are very simple.
And follow also Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja, but in a real sense. If all the devotees, sannyasis and so many brahmacaris with saffron cloth were serving him and following him, then why did they leave the institution? Why all this? Why did they leave and become weak? Why? It means that they are not aware of what Srila Swami Maharaja wanted. They were not following so much. They were following like this: They were making money even by selling ganja pan. They thought, "No harm. We should make money for Prabhupada." But your Prabhupada has never, never told them to do that.
So we should try to give up our understanding, and try to fulfill our hearts by our guru-parampara. Do you understand? If so, then you can realize, you'll have a taste in chanting and remembering, and there will be no doubts.

Lady devotee: What I wonder is, if our goal is to serve Krishna, and to serve guru, then why is there so much arguing amongst each other? "I belong to this group, I follow this person, I belong to that group."

Srila Narayana Maharaja: Because our goal is not fixed. What is your goal? Do you know? I know that you have a goal to serve, but in what way? - We should serve the devotees.

Vanamali dasi: Of course.

Srila Narayana Maharaja: Of course? Can you serve all the devotees as you are serving your husband?

Lady devotee: I can try.

Srila Narayana Maharaja: I know you cannot. You cannot tell, or not tell. But I can tell. You cannot serve. Service requires a special relation. Now our goal is not fixed. What is our goal? "I should serve Krishna. I am an eternal servant of Krishna". But what kind of servant are you? This goal must be fixed, and it will come if you are initiated in the true sense; not only by fire sacrifice or when the guru changes your name. Simply that will not do. Srila Vyasadeva initiated Srila Sukadeva Gosvami. Narada initiated Vyasadeva. Brahma initiated Sri Narada. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhju initiated Rupa. Who is the guru of Srila Rupa Gosvami? Caitanya Mahaprabhu is his guru. But we see there was no fire sacrifice performed. Mahaprabhu never directly gave any mantra. Still, Srila Rupa Gosvami always thinks that Mahaprabhu is his Guru.
This is called transcendental initiation. And ours - although with fire sacrifice -after some days we become weak and give up everything. Again we take fish, eggs and so on. This 'initiation' is really for kanistha adhikaris, to fix in their minds that, "Oh, I am initiated." You must follow the rules. By this you are admitted in the class, or the school of initiation. When you will be matured, you will realize your special relation with Krishna. What is the relation? Krishna is my friend or son, or Krishna is my beloved. What kind of beloved? There are so many things to be learned. When that learning will be completed, then you will realize this special relation with Krishna, and all your unwanted things will go. Diksa: Di--divya jnana, and ksa - all unwanted things will go. Then it is really diksa. Otherwise diksa is not completed. I think it is very rare in this world that the goal is achieved. At this time one is really a devotee.

Gaura-premanande!
