Sometimes you can chant many lifetimes – chanting Hare Krishna, worshipping,
and taking prasadam – Still, the heart is not changing. How does one change the
heart?
Srila
Guru Maharaj: For this, one has to have company of suddha-bhaktas because we
have got difficulty inwardly – we are uttering the name Hare Krishna, Hare
Krishna, Hare Krishna – but we have got this conception of self, "I am
this body" and bodily interests predominate our heart. We are chanting the
name and thinking, "I am having difficulty, I require another 50,000
dollars, please rescue me, Hare Krishna". He will see in your heart –
according to your hearts desire, He will see. You are not wanting Krishna from
your heart. You are trying to remove your problems. If sincerely anybody wants
Krishna, immediately he will get. But because we can’t sincerely utter – we are
habituated here, "I do not want to leave this Honolulu," we say.
Where we will be taken? We do not know. And if Krishna comes and says "Go
with Me. I”ll take you to Vrindavana, it is a hot place, but it is a very good
place." Even then, you think you will leave this place, and there will be
great difficulty there. “I shall have to beg alms,” you may say. You won’t be
able to go with Krishna in Vrindavan. You are uttering the name of Krishna and
when Krishna comes, he says "I have come-now, come along!"
But
you say "no, no – I have got this nice hog family and responsibilities.
Many obligations – many. I have got wife, children, etc. Who are you? I don’t
agree with you. I won’t leave! I won’t leave! I won’t leave this
Honolulu."

The glories of Srila B.V.Vaman Goswami Maharaj by Srila Gurudev B.V.Narayan Goswami
On November 15, the same day that Srila Trivikrama Maharaja left the world two years earlier, Srila Bhaktivedanta Vamana Gosvami Maharaja left at midnight, during Sri Krsna’s nisa-lila (midnight pastime s). About 1,000 devotees from all over the world are here at Govardhana performing parikrama, but I left all my responsibilities here and went to Navadvipa. I did what needed to be done there and now I’ve returned. I know the devotees here observed Srila Vamana Maharaja’s disappearance ceremony, weeping, but now we are going to observe it again. Now, devotees should glorify him.
[Srila B.V.Narayan Goswami Maharaja then called on Srila Vamana Maharaja’s senior most disciple, Sripad Parivrajaka Maharaja, who spoke in Bengali, and then several others, to offer their heartfelt glorification. He then offered his own glorification:]
Srila Gurudev B.V.Narayan Goswami: We have heard from many Vaisnavas, such as Sripad Parivrajaka Maharaja and Sripada Madhava Maharaja, and especially Sripad Bhakti-prasada Van Maharaja spoke very nicely about the principle of separation (viraha-tattva). Separation feelings are very important in the bhajana of Gaudiya Vaisnavas. When first entering the realm of bhajana there are feelings of separation, in the middle there are such feelings, and when one attains Sri Sri Radha-Krsna’s direct service, there are also such feelings. Separation is one of the aspects of prema (pure love of God). When there is separation there must also be meeting, and that is why Vaisnava literature gives it great importance. The experience of meeting is more important than the feeling of being separated.
During that time of separation we can remember all the qualities of our object of love and worship, whereas this is not possible at the time of meeting. In viraha there is meeting internally – you can meet directly there. Vaisnavas never die; rather, they enter into the transcendental world and disappear from here. They are just like Krsna. His pastimes appear and then disappear. Similarly, Vaisnavas also appear and disappear.
Pujyapada Srila Vamana Maharaja grew up in Vaisnava association. His mother was a disciple of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. She was very intelligent and had so much guru-nistha; she had great faith in her guru. Srila Vamana Maharaja’s uncle’s name was Bhakti Bhusana Nrsimha Maharaja.
Srila Vamana Maharaja was an exalted servant of my Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti-prajnana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja, and from his childhood he served in a great variety of ways. When he was 10 ½ years old his mother offered him to my Gurudeva, and from that time on he considered Gurudeva his all-in-all – his mother, father, siksa-guru and everything else of value.
He had joined the matha during the time of Srila Prabhupada Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura and took harinama initiation from him, but he always considered my Gurudeva his guru.

TRANSLATION By Shrila Prabhupada:
"Lord Brahma, approaching the Lord, addressed Him thus: My Lord, please protect me from these sinful demons, who were created by me under Your order. They are infuriated by an appetite for sex and have come to attack me."
PURPORT
It appears here that the homosexual appetite of males for each other is created in this episode of the creation of the demons by Brahma. In other words, the homosexual appetite of a man for another man is demoniac and is not for any sane male in the ordinary course of life.
"Foolish and sinful men engage in all forms of sexual intercourse without a female womb, forcing themselves upon other men. They are born again without their organs as neuters." (Mahabharata 13.145.52)
Prabhupada: The world is degrading to the lowest status, even less than animal. The animal also do not support homosex. They have never sex life between male to male. They are less than animal. People are becoming less than animal. This is all due to godlessness. Harav abhaktasya kuto mahad-guna , godless civilization cannot have any good qualities. Harav abhaktasya kuto mahad-guna mano rathena asato dhavato. They simply go to the untruth by mental speculation. (Shrila Prabhupada in Conversation with the GBC ?Los Angeles, May 25, 1972.)
Prabhupada: Homosex. They are supporting homosex. So degraded, and still they say, "What we have done?" They do not know what is degradation, and they are priest. They are teaching others. Prabhupada: So generally, people are suffering on account of association with tamo-guna and rajo-guna, whole material world, mostly tamo-guna and few of them in rajo-guna. The symptoms of rajo-guna and tamo-guna are lust and greediness. Just like yesterday you told me the students are talking about homosex. That means tamo-guna, that the education students, they are discussing about homosex...
That means they are making their own lusty desires fulfilled in the name of Bible, that’s all. Everyone is doing like that. They are changing. Mass opinion is now homosex. They are passing abortion. They are passing?What is this? This is their business. For fulfillment of their lusty desires and greediness, they are bringing the authority of Bible, Bhagavad-gita. Prabhupada: This homosex propaganda is another side of impotency. So that is natural. If you enjoy too much, then you become impotent.
Brahmananda: They are trying to make that more and more accepted in America, homosex.
Prabhupada: Yes. The churches accept. It is already law.
Nitai: This women’s liberation movement, the leaders are also homosexual. They’re lesbians.
Prabhupada: (laughs) Just see. Hare Krsna. The whole world is on the verge of ruination. Kali-yuga.

Tamala Krsna: Now they have churches for homosex. That means the priest is a homosexual, and the persons who come are homosexuals. A special church for homosexuals.

Recebendo a Graça do Vaishnava
Movido pelo amor e afeição dos Vaishnavas.
O amor move tudo neste mundo, em toda e qualquer situação, o amor predomina como o mais elevado sentimento que é experienciado entre duas pessoas. Ao contrário do dito ‘amor’ mundano, o qual o imperador é a exploração do sexo oposto, o amor real e divino é a causa da satisfação total de qualquer pessoa que entre em contato com tal sentimento de pureza e misericórdia. As almas condicionadas (baddha-jivas) que sofrem neste mundo há centenas de milhares de anos (anadi- inimaginável), só será afortunada e feliz se receber esta afeição de uma alma elevada que sabe realmente amar. Tal elevada personalidade aprendeu esta arte do amor com o Deus do amor transcendental, Aprakrta - Kamadeva, isto é Sri Krishna, O Senhor Supremo. Deus é amor e amor é Deus. Porque a alma perfeita (nitya-siddha), o devoto puro (vaishnava), sabe como relacionar amorosamente com o Senhor, apenas Ele é capaz de reciprocar este puro sentimento com as almas cobertas pela ilusão. Mesmo não podendo compreender a natureza deste amor, a alma condicionada recebe isto quando se encontra e rende-se ao mestre afetuoso. Naquele momento ela se sente a pessoa mais afortunada e amada do mundo, pois o olhar carinhoso vem do plano mais elevado e puro, o mundo transcendental, que é manifestado no coração do Vaishnava (devoto puro de Krishna - Maha-Bhagavata Sad-Gurudev). Após tal magnânimo e tocante encontro (darsan), o resultado é bastante impressionante. O encanto pelo falso amor e exploração deste mundo se vai devido as glórias da misericórdia e afeição demonstradas pelo devoto do mais alto nível. Isto toma por completo o coração daquele que o recebeu, preenchendo-o com satisfação completa do ser. Apenas ele, o Sad-Guru fidedigno, pode nos dizer qual a natureza desta relação e o que deve ser feito neste mundo. Quanto uma criança pode amar ela mesma? Muitas vezes ela cai em um buraco ou queima a mão, e a mãe amorosa diz: “Não é por aí, isto vai te queimar”. Ela não pode amar muito a si mesma, ela não sabe o que lhe é benéfico. Quanto uma alma condicionada (nós pessoas iludidas (baddha-jivas), podemos amar a nós mesmos? Não sabemos qual é o nosso real interesse neste mundo. Sri Gurudev é mais que uma mãe e pai. Ele é pai, mãe, protetor, esposa (o), bem querente, guardião e tudo mais, ele sabe como nos amar. Aquelas pessoas afortunadas que com fé resoluta no Sad-Gurudev e que sentem que é amada mais que qualquer um neste mundo pelo seu bem querente divino, vão muito rapidamente abandonar todo tipo de amor ilusório encontrado neste mundo temporário. Sentindo-se preenchidos com tal afeição provinda do plano elevado, trilharão seu caminho de volta a casa do Pai Eterno, O Supremo Senhor do universo, O amor puro personificado, Sri Krishna, e encontrarão com seus devotos puros que um dia vieram em nosso favor, nos dando aquilo que estávamos buscando há milhares de vidas, amor puro. êxtase, beleza, charme e harmonia.
